Entering a Scene
Whenever entering a scene it is respectful of everyone - no matter the role to not type anything until one knows what's going on first. Remember the take turns rule. You don't want your character doing something they wouldn't do in any given situation because you did not wait to see what's going on.
Entering the Presence of the Free
There are several different ways that are acceptable ways to enter the presence of the Free. These are also acceptable whenever the Free enter your presence. Here are a few quotes on slaves being in the presence of Free.
In the presence of Free
"It is almost universal, as far as I know, that a slave kneels in one fashion or another when entering her master's presence, or if she should find herself in his presence. She also commonly kneels when spoken to by any free person. This is simply a matter of respect. To be sure, she can be slain, if she does not do so. The kneeling position, of course, which the master's, or free person's, permission, either tacit or explicit, is usually required to break, is commonly an initial position. For example, after its deferential assumption, she may be dismissed from it, to other duties, such as cleaning, shopping or cooking."
Dancer of Gor
"The Gorean slave girl, incidentally, will space herself from her master quite differently in different situations. For example, if she is somewhat farther away, it is easier for her to display herself in all her beauty; if she wishes to wheedle for his caress she may approach quite closely; if she is receiving instructions she may kneel a few feet away; if she is begging to serve his pleasure she may kneel at his feet, perhaps kissing them, and holding his ankles; obviously, too, a girl who fears she is to be disciplined will commonly hang back; sometimes, too, a girl will fear to approach too closely until the master, by an expression or small sign, indicates that she is not in obvious disfavor and may do so. "

"Also, it must be recognized that many slaves often, and perhaps all slaves sometimes, find it difficult to look into the eyes of the master. . . . But, on the other hand, there is, on Gor, in circles of the mastery, no discouragement, commonly, of eye contact between masters and slaves. "
Savages of Gor
A girl, incidentally, in the position of the Gorean pleasure slave, but who is not being kept in the position as a discipline, in which case she remains rigid, is allowed much subtle latitude, which she exploits, without breaking the position. Sometimes, as she becomes animated, she rises a bit from her heels, sometimes her head moves, her eyes are alive and vital, she speaks and laughs, and, radiantly, every inch, every bit, of her alive, converses lyrically and delightedly. Any girl knows that an interesting body is a moving body. Even within the apparent restraint of the position of the pleasure slave a girl's body can be a subtle, provocative melody of motion. The interplay between the restraint of the position and her animation gives the position incredible power and beauty. Yes, power.
Slave Girl of Gor
There was a sudden, loud knock at the door.
I cried out, startled. The girl turned white, and then, facing the door, immediately dropped to her knees. She cried out something, frightened. The door opened.
A large man stood framed in the doorway. He seemed agile and strong. He glanced about. His eyes seemed piercing.' He had broad shoulders and long arms. His hair was cut rather short, and was brown, flecked with gray. He wore a white tunic, trimmed in red. He looked at me and I almost fainted. It was something in his eyes. I knew I had never seen a man like this before. There was something different about him, from all other men I had seen. It was almost as though a lion had taken human form.
"It is Ligurious, my Master," said the girl, her head now down to the floor, the palms of her hands on the tiles.
I swallowed hard, and then tried, desperately, to meet the man's gaze. I must show him that I was a true person.
Kajira of Gor
"A girl," I told her, "on entering the compartment of her master, kneels." "Furthermore," I said, "commonly, in the presence of a free man, the girl kneels."
Tribesmen of Gor
"I do not know how to be a slave girl," she suddenly wept.
I thrust her head down, "You will begin," I said, "by learning to be docile and submissive." I then rewound the wadding and, dragging her head up briefly, by the hair, from behind, pushed it into her mouth and lashed it in place. I then again thrust her head down. "Also," I said, "you will consider whether or not, at a given time, your master wishes to hear you speak. If you are in doubt, you may ask his permission to speak, which may then be granted or denied, as he pleases."
Explorers of Gor
"Kneel," I said.
"Kneel?" she asked.
"Must a command be repeated?" I asked.
Fighting Slave of Gor
"level, on a wooden, planked surface. It sounded hollow
beneath the wheels.I realized, suddenly, that my knees were pressed closely together. That had occurred during, and I had kept them that way afterwards, the beating on the wagon of the woman, and her screaming. It had been a defensive gesture, bringing my knees together, tightly, because I was afraid. Perhaps, too, I supposed, just as a male might find the spreading of a female's knees appropriate, deferential or placatory, so, too, such a woman might prefer their closure, finding it respectful, or placatory. Perhaps she might be mollified to some extent by such anapparent modesty. I did not know. Still, looking down at me, I did not think she would be likely to be fooled
by it. I did not think she would be stupid. She would probably know what I was, really. It was probably not hard to tell. Perhaps we were just different sorts of women. I did not know. I did realize that such women, in all their frustration and anger, would probably want me to be like them. That thought horrified me. I found it terrifying. It would be like going back to the sterilities, the barrenesses, the pathologies, of Earth. Tears formed in my eyes, in the hood. What was I to do? I recalled that Ulrick had told me that certain kinds of slaves, house slaves, "tower slaves," and such, whatever they were, might kneel with their knees together, but I had also been informed that I, and the other girls, were not such slaves. We were some other sort of slave, it seemed, though exactly as to what other sort that might be I was not perfectly clear."
Dancer of Gor
"The woman sat regally on the curule chair, wrapped in
resplendent, many-colored silks. Her raiment might have cost
more than any three or four of us together were worth. She
was, moreover, veiled. "Do you dare look upon a free woman?" asked a guard. I not only dared, but I was eager to do so. But, nudged by
his foot, as the wagon approached, I lowered my head to the grass, as did the other girls. The wagon, and the retinue, stopped only a few feet opposite us. I did not dare to raise my head."

In each of these quotes you learn that each has a few things in common:
1. Each has the girl/s kneeling in some sort of fashion whether it is with their legs together, apart, or with their head and palms on the floor.
2. No where does it say that the free people were very far away. We are talking about being in the presence of the free person or being commanded to kneel.
3. Whenever a slave speaks with a free person it is mentioned that the slave does so from their knees.
The Greeting Order
In the traditions of online Gor, the city of Farnacium will use a greeting order for all slaves. You should greet in the following order:
Tal, my Master or Mistress (whoever is your owner)
Tal Masters
Tal Mistresses
Tal First Girl (Of your home and then of city if both are present)
Tal First Boy (Of your home and then of the city if both are present)
Tal kajiri (the plural form of kajira for both sexes)
